The Flying Girl – By: Maryam Al Ali
When I was a little baby, I dreamed that I was a flying girl. Everyday, I felt that when I become older, I will be a flying girl.
When I became 10 years old, I went with my father to the swimming pool, climbed the ladder, and jumped as high as I could. I felt like I was flying and everybody was watching me. My dream came true although not exactly as I imagined it.
Maryam Al Ali is a second grader. She is the winner of the Short Story Contest of the LVS. The contest was judged by the writers circle of the Little Village School, Alma Haidar, Rema Othman, and Suzana Chams Al Deen.
